This 18 dB per octave crossover is designed for car audio applications. The steep slope provides very little overlap between drivers, eliminating comb-filtering caused by multiple sources. Outputs are in-phase, summing to a flat transfer function. Protection for the high frequency driver is provided by a PTC component, which automatically reduces the tweeter level, and resets after the overload is removed. This crossover provides three levels of tweeter protection (0db, -3db, -6db). For use with 25mm (1") dome tweeters, and MX or LX speakers. |
