AVI LINE ARRAY RIGGING

High-power, long-throw line-array systems can be assembled from AVI AW & PF-5M2 and 5M3 speaker systems, using economical and convenient hardware. These brackets suspend the speaker modules from their built-in threaded inserts. The aluminium enclosures may be tilted 15 degrees up or down to achieve flat, or curved arrays. The largest practical array is six of the triple-driver PF-5M3, which uses 18 matched transducers, for a combined power handling of 900w AES or 3600w peak. The coverage angle and peak SPL of the array is variable from a super long-throw 30x10 degrees and 127dB, to a long throw 30x45 degrees and 120dB.

Six different AVI hanging rigs are available:

  • AVI PF-2X2 rig, for two AW or PF-5M2 speaker systems
  • AVI PF-4X2 rig, for four AW or PF-5M2 speaker systems
  • AVI PF-6X2 rig, for six AW or PF-5M2 speaker systems
  • AVI PF-2X3 rig, for two AW or PF-5M3 speaker systems
  • AVI PF-4X3 rig, for four AW or PF-5M3 speaker systems
  • AVI PF-2X2 rig, for six AW or PF-5M3 speaker systems

These hanging rig are manufactured by AVI from 4mm aluminium sheet, and equipped with M6 hardware. A 50x50mm square steel 'bumper' bar should be used as the structural interface, and details of this are in included with each rigging package. Each enclosure has multiple threaded inserts on the rear panels which can be used to tilt the system, and to secure safety cables required by many building codes.

AVI loudspeakers are hand built in our own facility in Canada, using the finest components available, with sound quality as the primary design criterion. It is a fortunate coincidence that designing speakers for accuracy also makes them capable of stunning output levels.
