The AVI PF-1001 is a compact trapezoid loudspeaker system based upon our proprietary AVI 250mm wide-range driver designed for applications where high output capability and small size are essential. The advanced dual-cone element features a non-pressed paper LF cone with a damped-roll suspension, and a resin impregnated high frequency cone. A central 'phase plug' and copper inductance shunt extend the high frequency response. The moving assembly is driven by a 75mm (3") edgewound ribbon voice coil in a narrow gap, using a high flux magnet. This wide-range element provides smooth response, high output and wide dispersion, in a very compact package. The multi-ply Baltic Birch enclosure is vented for extended low frequency response, and creates a rugged and reliable speaker system, for high-quality installed sound systems. It is finished in textured black PU coating, and may be painted to blend into any decor.

By completely eliminating the passive crossover network, these AVI speaker systems provide consistent and predictable dispersion, and a 'natural' sound quality, immediately noticeable with acoustic instruments or vocal program material. A second benefit is complete freedom from high frequency driver failure. Their small size makes them ideal for high quality sound systems in hotels, schools, restaurants, nightclubs, performance venues, health, sports and conference facilities and houses of worship. They may also be used with speaker stands, or used as monitors for performers. For high-level dance-music playback, additional subwoofers such as the AVI SW-380 subwoofer are recommended.
