The AVI CL-130 is a compact modular loudspeaker system based upon our proprietary AVI 130mm wide-range driver, designed for in-ceiling applications where high output capability and small size are necessary. The advanced dual-cone element features a treated paper LF cone with a damped-roll suspension, and a resin impregnated high frequency cone. The moving assembly is precisely driven by a low mass voice coil in a narrow gap, using a high flux magnet. This wide-range element provides smooth response, high output and wide dispersion, in an inconspicuous package. The fire-retardand plastic enclosure is sealed for environmental protection, and creates a tuned system that enhances vocal projection and clarity. It may be painted to blend into any decor. By eliminating the passive crossover network, these AVI speaker systems provide consistent and predictable dispersion, and a 'natural' sound quality, immediately noticeable with spoken word or vocal program material. This has the secondary benefit of avoiding tweeter burn-out associated with conventional speakers. Their small size makes them simple and economical to install. Ideal for announcements, spoken word reinforcement or background music in restaurants, nightclubs, sports, health and conference facilities, and retail outlets. They may also be mounted into walls, or hung from aircraft cable or chains, in installations where no ceiling is available. The AVI small PF and AW range includes single, double and triple-driver systems, all based on the same acoustic components, so all have the same exceptional sound quality. This makes it practical to mix PF and AW speakers within a single installation, for long, medium and short throw applications, using the same equalization.
AVI loudspeakers are hand built in our own facility in Canada, using the finest components available, with sound quality as the primary design criterion. It is a fortunate coincidence that designing speakers for accuracy also makes them capable of stunning output levels. Printable Specifications (in PDF format) |
