The AVI AL-200 is a plate mounted architectural speaker system based upon our proprietary AVI 200mm woofer and 25mm silk dome tweeter, designed for in-wall applications where high output capability and excellent sound quality are required. The advanced woofer has a mica-loaded polypropylene LF cone with a damped-roll suspension, and the tweeter has Ferrofluid cooling to reduce distortion and improve power handling. The woofer is precisely driven by a low mass voice coil in a narrow gap, using a high flux magnet. The complex crossover network reduces the interference between the drivers, for extended frequency response, and high output. The fire retardant ABS mounting ring is simple and economical to install, and creates a reliable speaker system, for high-quality installed sound systems. Their small size and simple mounting hardware reduce installation time and cost, especially important when an installation includes many units. A low-profile grille and discrete white facia makes them easy to conceal, and they may be painted to blend into any decor.

By careful design of the passive crossover network, these AVI architectural speaker systems provide a 'natural' sound quality, immediately noticeable with acoustic instruments or vocal program material. Perfect for use in home-cinema, hotels, schools, restaurants, nightclubs, sports, health and conference facilities, and shopping centres. These speakers are designed for use without a 'back-box' and can be installed through walls or flat surfaces up to 40mm (1.5") thick, or in T-bar ceiling tiles, through plywood paneling, or they can be built into furnishings or other structures. AVI AL-200 in-wall speaker systems may be intermixed with any other AVI Al, CL, PF or AW-series speakers, within a single sound system.
